ANSIEDAD, DEPRESION Y ESTRES EN TRABAJADORES: CASO PRACTICO

    Abstract

Physical and mental health problems in workers in the presence of COVID 19 contribute to generating anxiety, depression and stress, as well as musculoskeletal discomfort derived from work due to unsuitable jobs. The objective of this research is to determine the levels of anxiety, depression and stress in technical and administrative workers of the Public Company of Potable Water and Sewage Riobamba (EP-EMAPAR). The materials and methods were carried out with a cross-sectional design in a sample of 29 workers, using the DASS-21 test, which allowed determining the levels of depression, stress and anxiety. The statistical analysis was carried out using SPSS V .24, the reliability and trustworthiness of the test through Cronbach's Alpha and KMO. The results show levels of anxiety, depression and stress ranging from moderate to very severe that affect both physically and mentally due to the fear of being infected by COVID 19. The dimensions of the DASS 21 test, when correlated with the sociodemographic variables, establish the existence or not of dependency between them through Cramer's V. Finally, it is concluded that having 3.4% of the very severe mental disorder syndrome, the implementation of technical, engineering and administrative preventive measures is recommended to reduce or eliminate the problem.
