This article assesses the bilingual intercultural system in Ecuador, what has been done and needsto be done; in addition, it introspects towards the objectives, aims and reality of speakers withlinguistic distinction within the colonizing context (maintained still in the multi diverse society), at the same time, the work approaches the diatopic variants as identification of the confluence oflanguages, marked by the region. All of this frames a theoretical debate that dazzles the complexcontemporary situation of educational management in terms of the encounter among languages,nationalities, cultures, assessment of the roots and sociolinguistic uses of the population againstthis reality, in addition, it approaches the professional work in this field against its capacity andresponsibility for the innovative purposeful realization of solutions in the field of contemporarysocial research
El artículo presenta un análisis valorativo al sistema intercultural bilingüe en Ecuador, lo que seha hecho y falta por hacer; además hace una introspección hacia los objetivos, fines y a larealidad de los hablantes con distinción lingüística dentro del contexto colonizador (mantenidoaún es la sociedad multi diversa), al mismo tiempo el trabajo se acerca a las variantes diatópicascomo identificación de la confluencia de lenguas, marcadas por la región. Todo esto enmarca undebate teórico que deslumbra la compleja situación contemporánea del manejo educativo encuanto al encuentro entre lenguas, nacionalidades, culturas, valoración de las raíces y usossociolingüísticos de la población frente a esta realidad, además que acerca a la labor profesionalen este campo frente a su capacidad y responsabilidad para la realización propositiva innovadorade soluciones en el campo de la investigación social contemporánea.Palabras clave: educación intercultural, bilingüismo, lenguas en contacto, Pedagogía
