COVID-19 has been at the center of the global medical landscape since its inception. The rapid extension, the varied number of clinical manifestations, complications and the high number of deaths are elements that characterize the disease. It affects people of any age, condition and sex. The objective of this report is to present the clinical evolution of a 22-year-old female patient, with a gestation of 28.3 weeks, who was diagnosed with COVID-19. During the course of the respiratory disease, the clinical activity of lupus is exacerbated, and systemic, musculoskeletal, respiratory, and hemorrhagic manifestations occur. The patient evolved favorably, was discharged at 27 days and ended her pregnancy physiologically at 38.6 weeks with a full-term newborn weighing 3050 grams.
La COVID-19 ha sido el centro del panorama médico mundial desde su aparición. La rápida extensión, el variado número de manifestaciones clínicas, de complicaciones y el elevado número de muertes son elementos que caracterizan la enfermedad. Afecta a personas de cualquier edad, condición y sexo. El presente reporte tiene como objetivo dar a conocer la evolución clínica de una paciente femenina de 22 años de edad, con una gestación de 28,3 semanas a la cual se le confirma diagnóstico de COVID-19. Durante el curso de la enfermedad respiratoria exacerba la actividad clínica del lupus y se presentan manifestaciones generales, musculoesqueléticas, respiratorias y hemorragíparas. La paciente evolucionó favorablemente, fue dada de alta a los 27 días y terminó su gestación de forma fisiológica a las 38,6 semanas con un recién nacido a término de 3050 gramos.
