The arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic to the world caused unexpected havoc on the population, mainly affecting the global economy with the fall in the price of oil and the stock market, loss of jobs, increased poverty and malnutrition, beyond the closing of borders that blocked the entry of tourists, greatly affecting the population that lives off gastronomic tourism and rural tourism, the latter being the axes of Ecuador's economic movement. The year 2020 was for many the largest disaster caused by the Coronavirus pandemic, being compared with the level of global impact caused by the Second World War. Many businesses had to close permanently and others had to close the doors of their branches, causing massive layoffs based on the national emergency that faced the country that year. Other businesses had to reinvent themselves in order to achieve a slow and painful recovery of their economy, thus offering the possibility of a gradual reactivation. After the arrival of the vaccines to the countries, the operation of the airports has been reopened, progressively increasing the arrival of tourists, who now have the security of visiting a place that handles biosafety protocols and access to the country and the Insular Region. guaranteeing the health of the Ecuadorian population and of those who visit us. The year 2021 marks the beginning of an economic change longed for by Ecuadorians and the world, who long for the recovery of their economy.
La llegada al mundo de la pandemia por Covid-19 causó estragos inesperados en la población,afectando principalmente a la economía global con la caída del precio del petróleo y la bolsa,pérdida de empleos, incremento de la pobreza y desnutrición, a más del cierre de fronteras quebloquearon el ingreso de turistas, afectando en gran magnitud a la población que vive del turismogastronómico y turismo rural, siendo estos últimos los ejes del movimiento económico delEcuador.El año 2020 constituyó para muchos el desastre más grande ocasionado por la pandemia delCoronavirus llegando a ser comparado con el nivel de afectación mundial ocasionado por laSegunda Guerra Mundial. Muchos negocios tuvieron que cerrar definitivamente y otros tuvieronque cerrar las puertas de sus sucursales, causando despidos masivos basados en la emergencianacional que afrontó el país en ese año. Otros negocios tuvieron que reinventarse, a fin de lograruna recuperación lenta y dolorosa de su economía, brindando de esta manera la posibilidad de unareactivación gradual.Luego de la llegada de las vacunas a los países, se ha logrado reaperturar el funcionamiento de losaeropuertos, incrementando progresivamente la llegada de turistas, quienes tienen ahora laseguridad de visitar un lugar que maneja protocolos de bioseguridad y acceso al país y la RegiónInsular garantizando la salud de la población ecuatoriana y de quienes nos visitan. El año 2021,marca el inicio de un cambio económico anhelado por los ecuatorianos y el mundo, que añoran larecuperación de su economía
