Learning styles have allowed representative changes to be made in the educational process. They have helped teachers and students understand that each human being has a different way of learning, feeling, behaving, and thinking, what we know as individual differences. In this sense, it is important that the teacher knows the ways of approaching the student, their way of learning, her needs, to develop a more personalized pedagogical practice, efficient class plans that contribute to building meaningful learning. Therefore, the objective of this research is for which the objective of this research is to establish the learning styles of the students of the IT engineering career of the Higher Polytechnic School of Chimborazo Orellana in the academic period May - September 2021 as well as the relationship between learning styles and their relationship with academic performance. This research is of a non-experimental cross-sectional type and has a quantitative approach. The NLPsurvey of learning styles was applied to 79 students of said institution, which showed that there is not an absolute majority for one learning style, but several that coexist without a marked difference in percentages. With the visual style it is with 39.24% followed by 34.18% of students who have a kinesthetic style, in third place is the auditory style with 21.52%.
Los estilos de aprendizaje han permitido realizar cambios representativos en el proceso educativo.Han ayudado a comprender a maestros y estudiantes que cada ser humano tiene distinta manera deaprender, sentir, comportarse, y pensar, lo que conocemos como diferencias individuales. En estesentido es importante que el docente conozca los modos de aproximarse al estudiante, su forma deaprender, sus necesidades, para desarrollar una práctica pedagógica más personalizada, planes declase eficientes que aporten a construir aprendizajes significativos. Por lo cual el objetivo de estainvestigación es por lo cual el objetivo de esta investigación es establecer los estilos de aprendizajede los alumnos de la carrera de ingeniería en TI de la Escuela Superior Politécnica de ChimborazoSede orellana en el periodo académico mayo ? septiembre 2021. Así como la relación de los estilosde aprendizaje y su relación con el rendimiento académico. Esta investigación es de tipo noexperimental transversal y tiene un enfoque cuantitativo. Se aplicó la encuesta PNL de estilos deaprendizaje a 79 estudiantes de dicha institución, lo cual evidenció que no existe una mayoría absolutapor un estilo de aprendizaje, sino varios que coexisten sin una marcada diferencia de porcentajes. Conel estilo visual es con el 39,24% seguido de un 34,18% de estudiantes que tienen un estilo Cinestésico,en tercer lugar, está el estilo auditivo con el 21,52%
