The teaching-learning process of a language is not based solely on the understanding of the correct structure of grammar; additionally, it implies to develop several skills specific to learning English. One of the main skills to master is Speaking that enables students to express ideas, emotions, and feelings appropriately. Therefore, it is proposed as a reinforcement to know the way in which students learn to provide teachers with better methodological strategies. Accordingly, the objective of this research is to propose methodological strategies for the development of speaking skills in intercultural environments aimed at students of the ninth grade of the ?U. E. Carlos Cisneros? evening section of the city of Riobamba. This research is of a non-experimental cross-sectional type and has a quantitative approach. Therefore, the NLP survey of learning styles was applied to 119 students of said institution, which showed that there is not an absolute majority for a learning style, but a variety that coexist in a relative equality in the percentages. Based on this reality, a body of strategies was established for the three types of learning style, Visual, Auditory and Kinesthetic, standing out Comics, Constellation of ideas, situations Creation, Music, Big Book, Theater, and Recitation as little-used techniques but they will have a great impact on the development of speech ability
El proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de un idioma no se basa únicamente en la comprensión de lacorrecta estructura de la gramática; adicionalmente implica desarrollar un sin número dehabilidades propias del aprendizaje del inglés. Una de las principales destrezas que se debedominar es el speaking, que habilita al estudiante a expresar ideas, sentimientos y emocionesapropiadamente. Por ello, se propone como refuerzo el conocer la forma en que aprenden losestudiantes para dotar de mejores estrategias metodológicas a los profesores. Por lo cual el objetivode esta investigación es proponer estrategias metodológicas para el desarrollo de la destreza delspeaking en entornos interculturales dirigidas a estudiantes de noveno de básica da la ?U. E. CarlosCisneros? sección vespertina de la ciudad de Riobamba. Esta investigación es de tipo noexperimental transversal y tiene un enfoque cuantitativo. Se aplicó la encuesta PNL de estilos deaprendizaje a 119 estudiantes de dicha institución, lo cual evidenció que no existe una mayoríaabsoluta por un estilo de aprendizaje, sino varios que coexisten en una relativa igualdad en losporcentajes. Con base en la realidad se estableció un cuerpo de estrategias para los tres tipos deestilo de aprendizaje, Visual, Auditivo y Cinestésico, destacándose Comics, Constelación de ideas,Creación de situaciones, Música, Big Book, Teatro, y Recitación como técnicas poco utilizadaspero que llegaran a impactar en gran medida en el desarrollo de la habilidad del speaking.
