CRECIMIENTO ECONOMICO Y BIENESTAR SOCIAL Y AMBIENTAL. CONSTRUCCION DEL INDICE DE BIENESTAR ECONOMICO SOSTENIBLE PARA AMERICA LATINA PERIODO 2000-2018

Abstract

This research determines the relationship between economic growth and social and environmental well-being through a VARMA econometric model with panel data in Latin America. Firstly, the IBES estimate is made detecting that economic growth overestimates well-being and is compared with GDP. As a result, social and environmental well-being have a positive relationship with respect to economic growth in the short term.

Resumen

Esta investigación determina la relación entre el crecimiento económico y el bienestar social y ambientala través de un modelo econométrico VARMA con datos de panel en América Latina. Primeramente, serealiza la estimación del IBES detectando que el crecimiento económico sobrestima el bienestar y secompara con el PIB. Como resultado, el bienestar social y ambiental tiene una relación positiva conrespecto al crecimiento económico en el corto plazo
