The research focuses on monitoring and evaluating performance of the "Distintivo Q" Tourism Quality Standard in the canton Mejía located in Ecuador; taking into consideration the General Regulations of the same. This study is based on the principles set forth in the norm of quality and productivity improvement according to Heras (2015), considering as a methodological framework a quantitative approach in which the form of Distinctive Q, servqual method and survey are used, being of the type correlative where a hypothesis is proposed with which the correlation between monitoring and compliance with the standard was studied, obtaining an acceptance of the null hypothesis.
La investigación se centra en el seguimiento y evaluación de desempeño a la Norma de Calidad Turística ?Distintivo Q?, en el cantón Mejía ubicado en Ecuador; tomando en consideración el Reglamento General del mismo. Este estudio se sustenta en los principios planteados en la norma de calidad y mejora en la productividad según Heras (2015), considerando como marco metodológico un enfoque cuantitativo en el cual se utilizan el formulario de Distintivo Q, método servqual y encuesta, siendo del tipo correlativo donde se plantea una hipótesis con la cual se estudió la correlación entre monitoreo y el cumplimiento de la norma, obteniéndose una aceptación de la hipótesis nula.
