Abstract

The work presented is part of the international movement aimed at obtaining evidence of why, how and where the dropout occurs in higher education and establish what is the relationship between the average variables of failed subjects and the average number of students who chose the career. The research is considered quantitative and correlational and in regards to the type of research is inferential type.

Resumen

El trabajo que se presenta forma parte del movimiento internacional orientado a obtener evidencias de por qué, cómo y dónde se produce la deserción en la enseñanza superior y establecer cuál es la relación entre las variables promedio de materias reprobadas y el promedio de estudiantes que eligieron la carrera. La investigación se considera cuantitativa y correlacional y en lo que respecta al tipo de investigación es de tipo inferencial.
