The university context is the appropriate scenario to cultivate the vocation of students as future scientists and the space in which the motivation and love of science should be promoted throughout the student community. An educational research was carried out in two Ecuadorian universities. Two groups were selected, one consisting of 386 students from the UNACH and another group, made up of 414 students from the UNIANDES. The didactic alternative with an integrating approach for the development of the student scientific culture was applied to the experimental group. The Wilcoxon Rank Sum test was performed.
El contexto universitario es el escenario propicio para cultivar la vocación de los estudiantes como futuros científicos y el espacio en el que deben promoverse en toda la comunidad estudiantil, la motivación y el amor a la ciencia. Se realizó una investigación educativa en dos universidades ecuatorianas. Se seleccionaron dos grupos, uno, formado por 386 estudiantes de la UNACH y otro grupo, formado por 414 estudiantes, de la UNIANDES. Al grupo experimental se le aplicó la alternativa didáctica con enfoque integrador para el desarrollo de la cultura científica estudiantil. Se realizó la prueba Suma de rangos de Wilcoxon.
