Cross, which allows to identify and describe the different levels of burnout among teachers of secondary education Educational Unit ?St. Thomas the Apostle Riobamba? and the Faculty of Engineering of the University - In this article the main results of a descriptive study presented national city Chimborazo Riobamba. Quantitative methodology was used for both data collection and analysis, and qualitative. Spanish version of the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) to 190 teachers of secondary and university education by establishing a sample of 77 was applied for analysis. The opinions of teachers on the subject are collected by two focus groups. From this experience we conclude the different levels of burnout that occur in teaching behavior by setting the dimensions of the syndrome and its affectations in the teaching-learning process and in the family environment.
En el presente artículo se presentan los principales resultados de un estudio descriptivo ? transversal, que permite identificar y describir los diferentes niveles de Burnout entre los profesores de educación media de la Unidad Educativa ?Santo Tomás Apóstol Riobamba? y la Facultad de Ingeniería de la Universidad Nacional de Chimborazo de la ciudad de Riobamba. Para la recolección y análisis de datos, se utilizó tanto metodología cuantitativa como cualitativa. Se aplicó la versión en español del Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) a 190 docentes de educación media y universitaria estableciendo una muestra de 77 para el análisis. Se recogen las opiniones de los profesores acerca del tema mediante 2 grupos focales. A partir de esta experiencia concluimos los diferentes niveles de Burnout que se presentan en el ámbito docente estableciendo las dimensiones de comportamiento del síndrome y sus afectaciones en el proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje, así como en el entorno familiar.
