The present article displays the research findings that answers to the need in the Ecuador of how to discuss the strategies of the sustainable communal tourism development. For such intentions, the presented case study answers to the theoretic proposal, in addition to its implementation, where the planning in the community Palacio Real, Parroquia Calpi, Chimborazo Province. The eco-touristic zones charges way when it is defined areas and spaces on the territory contemplating a tourist use, which implies determining a set of spaces of development, each one of them with own characteristics in terms of the nature of the interventions to realize. The quasi experimental design was applicable; The types of investigation used were: Bibliographic, exploratory and field type; The used method was the inductive, the viability of the proposal was demonstrated, emphasizing the generalization of the model to the rest of implicit communities in rural municipalities.
El presente artículo expone los resultados de la investigación en comunidades de la República del Ecuador, del abordaje a las estrategias del desarrollo turístico sostenible comunitario. Para tales fines, el estudio de caso presentado, responde a la propuesta teórica además de su implementación, localizada la planificación en la comunidad Palacio Real, Parroquia Calpi, Provincia de Chimborazo. Este proyecto, define las áreas y espacios sobre el territorio que contemplan un uso turístico, lo cual implica determinar un conjunto de espacios de desarrollo, cada uno de ellos con características propias en función de la naturaleza de las intervenciones a realizar. Se aplicó el diseño cuasi experimental; los tipos de investigación empleados fueron: bibliográfico, exploratorio y de campo; el método utilizado fue el inductivo. Se demostró la viabilidad de la propuesta, destacando la generalización del modelo al resto de comunidades implícitas en parroquias rurales.
